JOINT MOBILISATION
Joint mobilisation is a hands-on manual therapy technique used by Myotherapists to improve joint range of motion, reduce pain, and restore function. The technique involves passive movements of a joint, performed by the therapist, in specific directions and at different speeds and amplitudes. The aim is to increase joint mobility, reduce stiffness, and decrease pain by restoring normal movement patterns. Joint mobilisation is commonly used to treat conditions such as arthritis, frozen shoulder, and back pain. The therapist applies gentle pressure to the joint, gradually increasing the force and direction of the mobilisation until the desired effect is achieved.
